Attendance/Lateness

Attendance at school is vital to a student’s academic progress and success. School personnel will ensure that appropriate outreach, intervention and support are provided for students who exhibit attendance problems that may manifest themselves as truancy or patterns of unexcused absence or educational neglect.  Please ensure that the student is in school every day, and on time; lateness results in missing class time where a student may be missing essential school work.  The school must also be provided with a doctor’s note, when applicable, for any reason the student cannot attend school.  Families may also call the school and ask to be connected to the Attendance office, the Parent Coordinator or the Pupil Accounting Secretary to make absence notifications.
